I work one-on-one with clients to develop long-term habits that support them in optimal health and wellness. As a Holistic Health Counselor, I am your personal advocate for living an energized and inspired life. Whatever your concerns are, my job is to help you find which foods and lifestyle choices work best for you. True to my holistic approach, our program also emphasizes balance in non-food areas that nourish you, such as career, relationships, and moving your body, to name a few.

When you sign on for a program at Nutrition Within LLC, you will receive at a minimum: two one-hour sessions per month; food samples and other giveaways; recipes; tip sheets specific to your interests and concerns; a health food store tour; access to an internet support group; and other support as agreed upon by the two of us.

Depending on your personal health and wellness goals, our sessions together might include:

  • Identifying foods that provide you with energy, focus, and balance;
  • Overcoming your cravings and concerns about weight;
  • Investigating tasty, simple recipes that fit your lifestyle;
  • Learning to appreciate and listen to your body’s unique signals;
  • Updating old fears about body image;
  • Developing or enhancing an effective exercise program;
  • Creating tools for eliminating stress in your relationships, career, and other areas of your life; and
  • Highlighting the preventative and healing power of foods regarding ailments and diseases that concern you.

While Nutrition Within LLC serves anyone who is interested in improving their eating habits and overall health and wellness, you may particularly want to check it out if one or more of these categories seem all too familiar:

You have challenges with stress management. You are a Type A personality. It seems like you never have time to finish everything that you want to accomplish, and you tend to feel tired, irritated, and/or anxious much of the time. Your stress level may be affecting your health and is definitely hampering your ability to be effective in one or more areas of your life. You are on the search for a steady source of energy and greater balance in your life overall.

You know your image of your body is unrealistic and/or you have an abusive relationship with food. You may have some type of eating disorder, or you just may not feel like you have a healthy relationship with food. When you look in the mirror, you don’t like what you see. You would really like to develop a nurturing relationship with food and with your body that helps you to experience more contentment in your life.

You are in (or entering) your teenage years, and you’d like to be more healthy about food and your body. Perhaps you’ve decided to be a vegetarian and you’re not sure how to get enough protein. Or maybe you feel tired a lot and just don’t feel like you eat in the healthiest way. You may also have issues with your body and with standing up for who you know you are. Whatever your particular challenge, you know that you’re looking for someone to help you find more energy and happiness overall.

You are just beginning an exercise program, or you’d like to start one. You may never have consistently stayed with an exercise program, or regular exercise may be a completely new concept. While you are not sure exactly how to stick to it, intuitively you recognize a need for an exercise plan that works for you over the long haul.

You are an athlete and would like to learn about nutrition for optimal performance. Perhaps you are a competitive athlete or on your way to simply becoming more active athletically, and you want to get to “the next level”. However, you feel like you have reached a plateau with what you can accomplish without changing your lifestyle, and you are looking for a partner to help you make this transition.
